CIMAF GHANA DONATES TO THE KPONE KATAMANSO HEALTH DISTRICT TO END POLIO

As part of our core values, we have a high sense of responsibility to preserve the environment and improve the standard of living of consumers especially the people of Kpone, where we operate for our future generations.

According to UNICEF on the report issued on the 8th of September 2020, another strain of the virus – type 2, continues to spread across 16 African countries, including Ghana, and has paralyzed more than 170 children this year. Between July 2019 and August 2020, a total of 31 children have been paralyzed in Ghana due to polio.

To address this, several teams of health volunteers - led by Ghana Health Service are preparing to immunize children against polio across Ghana. CIMAF Ghana is therefore happy to support this cause with cash and logistics, for the Polio Vaccination Campaign to immunize children against Polio virus. We have a responsibility to reach out to all children, especially hard to reach areas in the Kpone Katamanso Municipality.

Caregivers are therefore encouraged to ensure their children under five years old are made available for the Polio Vaccination on such days (8-11 October), so that Africa can see an end to all types of polio.
